Frequently Asked Questions
Q. How do
we get to our overnight destination?
A. The James Shaull Wagon Train Foundation provides transportation
for the over-night encampment area back to where the wagon train
departs. In the morning at Clear Spring, MD there is a caravan
from the starting point to take trucks and horse trailers to our
over
night location and a chartered bus will return wagoneers to the
starting point in Clear Spring.
Q. Will there be water for my horses/mules along the way?
A. Yes, we have asked all of our sponsors to provide water whenever
possible.
Q. Is there a cost to participate?
A. Yes, $10 to register.
A registration form, and proof of liability insurance is required
that coverage is effective in Maryland.
Q. What meals are covered?
A. The foundation will provide dinner on Friday night, breakfast
on Saturday morning, and dinner the following Saturday night at
encampment for two wagoneers per wagon.
Q. Will there be someone to stay with my horse/wagon team when
I transport my truck and trailer?
A. No, you must provide your
own help to stay with your animals.
