The 2011 Wagon Train Schedule Info

1) Starting location- Wagon Train starts at Plumb Grove, North Martin Street, Clear Spring, Maryland.  It is located at the intersection of North Martin Street and Broadfording Road in Clear Spring near the Clear Spring School complex. Friday night encampment.  Please clean up after your animals. Manure spreader will be provided.

2) Food will be available for purchase Friday evening and Saturday morning at Plumb Grove.

3) Saturday night encampment will be east side of Funkstown Park.  It will be NECESSARY to clean up after your animals.  Bring the necessary tools.  Manure spreader will be provided.

4) Bring a chair for Saturday night dinner.  TWO MEAL TICKETS WILL BE PROVIDED FOR EACH WAGON AND/OR BUGGY.  ALL OTHER WILL COST $10 PER ADULT $5 FOR CHILDREN 12 AND UNDER.  RESERVATIONS WILL BE NECESSARY WITH REGISTRATION INFORMATION.  No ticket no meal. Click here for Meal Reservation Form.

5) Sunday morning breakfast will be provided from the West Hagerstown Lions Club (DONATIONS ACCEPTED).

6) Buses will transport wagoners: leave Funkstown Park at 8AM on 5/21 and 9AM on Sunday 5/22 from Boonsboro’s Shafer Park.

Friday, May 20, 2011 Encampment will be at the historical site Plumb Grove, Clear Spring, MD.  For purchase will be soup, sandwiches and beverages offered from 5PM - 7PM.  A meeting will be held at 7PM on site and ALL participants must attend or send a group representation to acquire badges and important information for participation.

Saturday, May 21, 2011 Breakfast sandwiches and beverages offered for purchase.  The wagon train will depart Clear Spring, MD at 9AM proceeding through Hagerstown to and finishing the day in Funkstown.

Sunday, May 22, 2011 the wagon train will depart at 10AM traveling to Boonsboro’s Shafer Park.    Total travel distance 36-37 miles.
